It is hard to know where the time goes sometimes as it just seems to fly by.

But having already completed Billy Twomeys new horse box, it is now time to start on another top Irish riders new build, Shane Breen.

We are delighted to be building for Shane, who is based a long way away in Hickstead, Sussex.

We are also building a luxury box for another Irish customer, who have ponies jumping, so we are busy thankfully, as usual with these two very exiting new builds.

As well as all this going on, we have had time to make a good start on a horsebox for ourselves.

It has a slide out side and will carry 7 horses, so watch this space for a truly fantastic build!

Each customer requires something different to the last, it is always very exciting working with all the top riders and hearing their different requests.

These pictures feature the bathroom, the drop down luton, the outside lockers with Ice machine and the centre seats that slot in to make a comfy sofa!

Billy returns from Aachen today and he will be seeing the final result of his horsebox.

17th July 2011

Billy Twomey's horse box was just about ready to go on display at Bolesworth show.

Now it is completely ready and has just been delivered.

Everyone has worked really hard on this box and we are all thrilled with the results.

In the living area, you can walk straight through to the cab, there is a centre section that you can put in the seats to make a 'sofa' if you wish.

There is an electric, drop down bed.

The control panel is in the hall way.

Radiators in the living and bathroom.

Heating in the rear of the wagon, in the horse area to make a dry room at shows, for rugs, boots, jackets, on those rainy days.

An ice machine in the under locker.

A flat screen TV in the living area, full size fridge.

Billy Twomey's new horsebox has just come back from the spray shop so we are now fitting the living and hope to have it ready to go to bolesworth show on the 8th of june . This Q7 horsebox will carry 7 horses with air con, statalite TV and lux living.

2nd May 2011

David and Claire Sherlock of DGS Transport have just taken delivery of their new Q11 Topline Transporter .This truck takes 11 horses with a small compact living for grooms travelling to the races .

12th February 2011

William Funnell was delighted with his brand new Quigley Horse box, which he took home today.

He spent an hour with Dave going round the box, looking at all the features, then we gave it a polish up, a photo shoot and off he went!

It was all hands on deck to get the box finished in time for the Sunshine Tour, some of the lads even working until 10pm on Friday night.

It looks superb, it carries eleven big horses and the chassis is a powerful top line Scania.

Perfect for William and Pippa's ever increasing team, The Billy Stud.

With top stallions Billy Congo and Cevin Z (sire of our own Valetto JX), they are constantly breeding horses for the future, using mare's with Le Mexico and Animo breeding to name just two.

William is heading off to the Sunshine Tour while Pippa prepares for the Badminton Horse trials, which is earlier this year in April.
Pippa has the European and Olympic championships in sight and she has top horses to aim for this.

9th February 2011

William Funnells horsebox is very nearly ready to leave the work shop.

William will take the lorry straight down to the Sunshine Tour, we hope people will see the box down there and it could be a good advert for us.

The build has gone really well, everything has gone smoothly and kept to our tight timescale.

The sign writing was done today, then there are some wheel trims to fit tomorrow and a few other last minute finishing touches.

24th January 2011

William Funnells horse box has just returned from the spray shop and is now ready to undergo the last stages of the build.

It is already in the work shop and work continues on it staright away.

We love the colour, it is similar to Nina Barbour's horse box, I think it is just a bit lighter in colour.

David Sherlock's transporter is making rapid progress. this box is also very nearly ready for the spray shop.

12th January 2011

William Funnell's horse box has now gone to the spray shop, he has chosen his own colours to match his wife Pippa's horse box.

William announced that he needed his box to be ready sooner than first planned, so we have stepped up the speed so we can be sure to meet his deadline.

Of course no short cuts can be made, the quality of the finish is still the priority with any build, so we have an extra member of staff on at the moment.

It is always exciting to see every horsebox develop, Williams box is unique in that he has a side ramp on both sides!
This is the first time we have done this on a box and I am sure they will find it very useful.

Happy New year to everyone.

Our horse box work shop has had a very good past year and is off to a busy start this year.

We have just completed a huge, transport horsebox for the company ETA, based in Dover.

They offer a superb service and now with their new Quigley Horsebox their customers horses will really travel in style.

We are currently building a horsebox for International showjumper William Funnell.

We are also building another transport horsebox for David Sherlock, who transports many racehorses.

We will very soon be adding a brand new two horse box to our fleet of trucks, for our horsebox hire business.

This is in build and will be done in two weeks.

15th July 2010

We were delighted to complete Nina Barbour's horse box in time for her show at Bolesworth Castle.

Nina runs the fantastic show at her Cheshire home and people come from all over the country to compete, so it was great for us to be able to use Nina's horse box on our display there.

Many people come to view the horse boxes when we have them on a stand, this is quite stressfull as we do not want any damage to our beatiful boxes!

Nina was very pleased with her box, pictured here, she now plans to tour the country eventing and staying away at many venues.

The horse box has high gloss, Walnut units in the living area and bathroom, it has granite work tops, a flat screen tv, built in gererator and many more features.

It carries six horses and has a very large living area and you can walk straight through from the cab thanks to the top line Scania chassis.

There is an electric drop down double bed in the cab, the seating area turns into a bed and there is a bed above the bathroom.

There is a storage space under the living and many outside tack lockers and feed lockers.

7th July 2010

An important couple of weeks for us now as we complete and deliver two brand new builds and start two more projects.

Martin Dawes will be first to have the latest build, pictured here.

Yesterday it was waxed and polished and now it is ready to go.

It is a magnificent build with Bentley exterior paint and Bentley leather in the living area, granite work tops, a downstairs bathroom, 34 inch TV, drop down bed and oak floor.

It carries 8 horses with padded flooring and partitions, it really is superb.

31st January 2010

The living area in Richard Davenports horsebox is finished and it looks very good.

He even has a bed that drops down from the roof, the cab area is incorporated into the living area and it makes the area seem very big.

The flat screen TV is in the cab, which is high up and can be watched from anywhere in the living.

It has a state of the art computer system, easy to use and a modern microwave cooker.

24th January 2010

The work shop is busy and we have several, major projects in full flow.

Pictured is a new mould we have made for a luton on the top line Scania boxes, it is nearly completed.

Also we are doing the living area on a new, luxury six horse box we have for sale.

It has a pop out side and it will have a full luxury living with leather and the works.

We have sprayed it in a superb colour, it is a pale Gold metallic, it looks great.

16th January 2010

The New Year for Quigley Horse boxes has got off to a very good start.

We have a good new employee, who seems to have settled in well and enjoying the job.

We have been busy completing jobs on horse boxes we have in and pressing on with new, big projects.

One of our luxury horseboxes has been sold, after an advert in the Horse and Hound, this magazine has a very high strike rate for us.
We have two more luxury horseboxes for sale now, one of them is an AK Horse box with left hand drive.
Both boxes can be seen on the Horseboxes for sale page.

We also have a new order for a very big horsebox.

So it could not be a better start to the year for us, we will look forward to all the hard work ahead!

20th December 2009

Work continues on new projects in the work shop.

We have a new build on going for Martin Dawes, Richard Davenport is having a living fitted in his horse box and work begins in Nina Barbours horse boxes.

We also have had another Chassis delivered, so work will be starting on that one, which is a 7.5 ton build for a local customer.

So a very busy time!

19th December 2009

Our latest horse box is completed and was picked up yesterday.

The owners were delighted and rightly so as it looks superb.

This will be the first of our boxes to go to Scotland, we hope we may get so people calling us up for quotes when they see this one!

The workshop is not over warm in the winter, but the men are keeping warm with all their hard work.

We have a new member of staff, Edward, he is an experienced horse box builder and he is doing a good job already.

26th October 2009

Dave delivered Penni Cornish's horse box, he met Pennie at the NEC in Birmingham!

The lorry looks great, it has nine horse stalls and no living area.

Tack and storage lockers on the outside, padded partitions, rubber ramps with side gates.

Work is progressing on our Scottish horse box, the roof is on and work inside the box is nearly finished.

The two horse box is being hired out alot lately, it still stays spotless, like new, each time it returns we power wash and disinfect it, so it stays in superb condition.

22nd October 2009

Work continues on the horse box we are building for our Scottish customer.

The roof went on today, progress is quick and it looks superb.

Pennie Cornish's horse box is now finished, so we will be busy with a final photo shoot before Sunday, when it will be delivered.

19th October 2009

The work shop has been very busy lately.

Work has been pressing on with the Iveco chassis we have in to build for our customers from Scotland.

This horse box has a large space for the living area and it will carry 6 horses.

7th October 2009

Pennies horse box has now gone for its MOT test, when it comes back, it will have the partitions put in and then it is ready to go.

It looks very good and we hope she will be thrilled.

We have another horse box just arrived which is for sale.  A three/ four horse box, a great hunting, pony club or the professionals second box.

See the horse boxes for sale for a full description.

Work has now started on the Iveco.

3rd October 2009

It is great to see Pennie Cornish's horse box is very near to completion, in fact all the finishing touches are being done and then it can be taken on the the yard for a photo shoot!

We have another project which we are ready to start, very similar to Pennie's horse box.
Someone has sent us a nice Iveco chassis to build a box on.
This can be started next week.

We are also pleased to have the job of building a super, big, horse box with living on a brand new top line Scania.
This project will also be starting very soon.

16th September 2009

Richard Davenport's horse box is ready for him to collect, it looks fantastic and everyone who comes in the yard is full of admiration!

He said he feels like a child on Christmas day, waiting to come and get it.

All the sign writing has been done, they are very nice logo's which is always a bonus and they look super against the white.

All the efforts will now be on Pennies box, which shold be finished very soon.

12th September 2009

Pennies horse box is back in the work shop from being sprayed and it looks great.

The white colour looks superb and seems to be getting very popular.

You can customise the truck with logo's or pictures or just leave it blank, then if you sell the truck on, it is easy for the new owner to put on what they like.

The blue and red logo's look great on this colour, it is also amazing how many different shades of white you could have!

This horse box has no living area, so it is a great,  day horse box.

6th September 2009

Very exciting week coming up, Richard Davenports horse box is going to the sign writing shop in the morning to have the logo's put on the sides.

Then we have Pennie Cornish's horse box coming back from the spray shop, then that too can be completed.

29th August 2009

Richards lorry has returned from the spray shop a few days ago and is very nearly finished.

It looks stunning in white and I believe he is going to have some large logo's put on the sides.

Pennie's box has also gone to be sprayed, so we will wait for it to return so we can finish her box aswell.

I expect to see a total transformation when it returns, it will be good to see the cab in a nice white, instead of the blue.

23rd August 2009

The horse box we are building for Pennie Cornish is coming along very well, I am sure she will be over to see the progress soon.

We are waiting for Richard Davenports Horse Box to return form the spray shop, this will be very soon.

10th August 2009

Everyone is back in the workshop now, all holidays have been taken and Dave is back from Dublin.

Richard Davenports Horse Box is looking great and work has started on our next big project, a Horse Box for Pennie Cornish.

Richards lorry is ready for spraying and everyone will press on with Pennie's lorry.
